Developed a long standing Mother & Child Hospital into a Multi Speciality Tertiary Care Hospital. On-going hospital operations were not disturbed and the modernized & expanded facility was seamlessly merged, leading to the ranking of within top three hospitals in Pune. Led a team of hospital planners, Operations Specialists and Financial analysts to assess SWOT, develop 5 year perspective plan.

This was sponsored by the Executive Committee as desired by leading donors such as Ashok Leyland, Sanmar Group and TVS Group.

Process

Study, analysis and recommendations covered infrastructure, mandatory adherence, accreditation compliance of 50 years old pioneering Oncology Institution, Technology, patient care, HR and operating policies.

Case 5

Assessment of Operational Readiness and assistance to commission 300 beds Hospital in Uyo, Nigeria ( 2015)

Scope

On behalf of Dubai based Hospital operating company, carried out pre-operations assessment and co working with CURIS (CHC) team to reach Operational readiness.

Involvement

Worked and guided international agencies( Architect, CURIS, Contractors, Equipment vendors) to rectify short-comings and speedy work completion.

Challenges

Operational viability and accreditation compliance were major driving factors. Our team worked in a challenging environment( Ebola, election –related disturbances, inadequate funds flow for CAPEX etc.)

Infrasructure due diligence of hospital chains in India, on behalf of potential acquisition/ investment.(2014 & 2015

Led teams of MEP professionals and Bio medical Engineers to assess the quality & capability of infrastructure in relation to the facilities and services spread. Accreditation compliance and adherence to mandatory regulations were the other objectives. The outcome was translated into a CAPEX plan, under essential and desirable criteria. Our assessment was to provide valuation inputs for prospective investors and covered two different groups of hospitals and for two different investors.
